Founding Engineer
DACH / REMOTEFULL-TIME
THE ROLE
You're our founding engineer — you own the whole stack and set the technical foundation the company scales on, working closely with Philipp, our co-founder.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Own the product stack end to end — content pipeline, data, delivery, and the tooling that makes launching a new community cheap and fast.
Ship close to real users — spec, build and deploy features yourself, with a short path from idea to production.
Make the high-leverage architecture calls — worker plane, data model, scaling bottlenecks — and know when the complexity is worth it.
Build the automation and agents that let a tiny team run like a big one.
Set the foundations everything we build after you stands on.
WHAT YOU BRING
Strong backend experience in modern async Python (FastAPI/Flask/Litestar), shipped to production.
Real LLM/AI pipeline experience — prompting, tool use, evals and cost control.
Postgres depth — indexes, query plans and multi-tenant patterns.
Fluent working agentically with AI dev tools — Claude Code, Cursor, or whatever ships fastest.
Self-directed in a remote setup — clear async communication and your own drive.
Fluent German and English.
BONUS
Web-scraping / Playwright experience.
Multi-tenant SaaS at scale.
Light DevOps — Docker, CI, deploying yourself.
Early-startup experience as engineer #1–#3.
